...everyone
needs a place to dream
The
TREEHOUSE is a unique Educational Arts and Storytelling Centre set in a
friendly “home” environment, located at Dedinje, Belgrade. The space
has been converted into a mini theatre with lighting, musical equipment
and facilities for visual arts and crafts workshops.
The philosophy of the TREEHOUSE is to make the ARTS accessible to all
youg people from as early age as possible, using the familiar objects,
colours and facilities of a home environment as the focal stimuli for
exploration, playing and mainstream learning.
People telling each other stories is probably the most ancient form of
entertainment that still exists. Storytelling is the most powerful tool
for communication, which creatively teaches people about their lives.
The telling of stories brings people together and stimulates
imagination, while combining the values and social relations that are
necessary, natural, and healthy part of a child’s development. The
magic of the process of storytelling includes interactive participation
where children’s individual interests and talents are recognized and
encouraged. Storytelling Festival took place in june, click here for more information.
The Treehouse team of international artist is specialized in working
with all ages from babies to adolescences developing a multitude of
arts skills.
