We are continuing our cooperation with Vanguard 2006, the regional youth forum on reducing drugs related harm and HIV/AIDS .
Recognizing that harm reduction programmes strengthen civil society and increase a harm reduction policy, Vanguard 2004/2006 is a forum for the developments in European youth policy related to harm minimalization programmes and youth-friendly methodologies (i.e. EU candidate countries should embrace harm reduction programmes to meet the objectives of the EU drug policy).

Our current aim is to create a network which will provide drugs prevention education and advocacy skills for statutory and civil sector educators and young people, peer educators and mediators, which will extend the outcomes of the work done to the next identified educational level. This innovative research approach/method is designed to assess rapidly a vulnerable situation in a community.

Subject to funding, currently developed materials will lead to a creation of:
an educational drugs prevention and flexible learning pack, including a practical , user friendly manual for schools (educators) and supported by the educational DVD, according to local needs as a model and example of good practice.
Drugs awareness and prevention information Web site

In addition to providing training to give the necessary skills to produce age appropriate activities and deliver the program within schools in a new and opened way, a guide and educational information pack for teachers/educators, young people and parents/careers will not only increase knowledge, but give confidence to deal with harm reduction.

Our World-Nas Svet has opened in March 2006 a residential Treehouse Storytelling Arts Centre in Belgrade.
As a contribution to the Day of the Planet on Saturday 22. April, Drustvo za pomoć osobama ometenim u razvoju "STARI GRAD"(Support group for people with special needs"Stari Grad") has organised an event in the center of the city of Belgrade," Zivimo Zajedno" (Living Together).
Treehouse Storytelling Center's artists, parents and children performed the traditional Caribbean story" Anansy the spiderman".
As a addition to the show, we played percussion instruments whilst walking in a procession through the high street"Knez Mihajlova" and were joined by a band of gypsies which created a huge interest of the public. We were using costumes created by "Maslacak" and we all had a great time.

Department for the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency, Belgrade, SCG is a unique prevention and operative unit. As the main partner of NGO Our World –Nas Svet within the Educational Arts Drugs Prevention Project as part of the Project For Social Policy Reform, we have developed a joint educational approach and practical operational responsibilities as educators for Teachers and Parents training and young people's introduction and final presentation workshops.
We have applied with a new project proposal to the Fond For Social Innovations, and are awaiting to find out if we have been granted funding to extend the project on the most vulnerable population of children and youth in partnership with Center For Social Services Zvezdara and Center For Protection Of Babies,Children And Youth, Zvecanska.

We are continuing to seek funding to further develop work with students, teachers and parents from the Secondary Traffic - Technical School Zemun (Saobracajno-Tehnicka Skola, Zemun), SCG, is one of the largest schools in Belgrade and in SCG (1800 pupils ), in a area of cultural and social deprivation.

Our Worlds Educational arts drugs prevention project , part of Project for Social Policy Reform in Serbia in partnership with Belgrade criminal police experts from the Ministry of Interior Affairs, has met with high commendations and a demand for continued work . The Project for Social Policy Reform in Serbia promotes a social policy decentralization model. It is based on an approach which recognizes the importance of a permanent cooperation, coordination and combination of local and national initiatives towards social and cultural policy reform and. advances the horizontal (inter-ministry) and vertical (municipality-ministry) information flow, engages in media campaigns, and raises public awareness on educational, social and cultural policy issues.
In a new and innovative way, we are integrating knowledge and practical experience of trained police officers, specialists in the field of education (doctors, councilors, psychologists, social workers), and arts education, into a creative process.
